Epoxsea implemented a modular design strategy for the Marlin ROV. This approach allows for easier customization and upgrading of the ROV's components, making it adaptable to various mission requirements.

Marlin's structure is designed for easy access to electronic components.Epoxsea opted for an open structure approach. This decision addresses the issue of densely-packed structures, further reducing costs by simplifying maintenance and repair activities.
EPOXSEA, the HKUST Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Sub-team of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Robotics Team, has been competing in the annual Regional (Hong Kong) and International (United States) ROV Competition held by the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Center.
We are an entirely student-run company and currently consist of 28 undergraduate students specializing in software, hardware and mechanical design. Our ROV completes tasks including developing sustainable solutions, maintaining healthy waterways, and preserving marine ecology for the upcoming 2023 competition.
